The Easy Way to heat up your relationship!

Raw truth coming at you - ready or not…

Option One: Go All Bob the Builder

If your house is freezing its ass off, you’ve got two options to fix it. One, you go all Bob the Builder on it—seal up every crack, slap on some insulation, check the attic, and make sure the weather stripping you installed isn’t falling apart like your last IKEA project. Basically, you block out every damn draft trying to sneak in. The second option? Screw the DIY marathon and just crank up the damn heat. Boom—warm and cozy in minutes, even if there’s a crack or two still hanging around.

Now, let’s talk relationships, because this metaphor’s got legs. You can try to fix every little thing that’s wrong—every argument, every bad habit, every annoying quirk. Sure, you can try to patch up every single imperfection you think your relationship has, but let’s be real—that’s a long, exhausting road to nowhere since nothing is perfect or permanent.

Option Two: Crank Up the Heat

The easy way is to take the shortcut: turn up the heat. Start showing up with some serious loving energy. Be kinder, more generous, and stop being a nitpicky pain in the ass. Compliment your partner like you actually mean it. Quit being so stubborn and judgmental—nobody’s perfect, including you. Instead of snapping at them for leaving the cap off the toothpaste, try a little patience. Forgive them for the dumb stuff. Look them in the eye when they’re talking instead of scrolling through TikTok. Listen like you give a damn. And for the love of all things holy, stop trying to win every argument— you’re in a romantic relationship, not on the college debate team.  Put their needs ahead of yours once in a while, and start acting like the person they fell for back when you were still trying to impress them.

Pour On the Love

Basically, pour on the love like it’s an open bar at a wedding. If you do that, the warmth will come back, and those little cracks in the relationship? They won't matter as much. Because when there’s enough heat, the drafts don’t stand a chance. So if anyone asks you which is the best heat... Oil, gas, solar, steam, etc. Tell them the best is body heat!
